About Us, Since 1979, La Mine d'Or Jewellers Moncton, NB

Since 1979

La Mine d'Or's journey began in 1979 when founder Paul Cormier began selling jewellery and gold from his suitcase. Known for his larger-than-life personality, Paul quickly became a beloved figure in the community, respected by his family, friends, and employees alike.

In 1981, Paul opened the first La Mine d'Or store, laying the foundation for a legacy of community engagement and exceptional service that remains at the heart of the business today.

Following Paul’s passing, his brother André Cormier stepped in to continue his vision. In 2018, André passed the torch to Carl Spicer, who has enjoyed leading the business with the same commitment to excellence that Paul and André instilled.
