La Mine d'Or was founded in 1979 and has earned the reputation over the past 45 years as one of Atlantic Canada's most prominent, trusted, and ethical fine jewellery and watch retailers. We are customer focused and are committed to providing an outstanding service experience.

About Us, Since 1979, La Mine d'Or Jewellers Moncton, NB

Since 1979

La Mine d'Or began in 1979 with our company founder, Paul Cormier, selling jewellery and gold from his suitcase. Paul was a larger-than-life character with a charismatic personality. He was appreciated by the community he served and loved by his family, friends and employees.

Two years after founding the company, Paul opened the first La Mine d'Or store. His vision of dedication to the local community and superior customer service laid the foundation for the business. The same viewpoint exists today.

After Paul's passing, his brother André Cormier assumed ownership and management. La Mine d'Or Jewellers was later sold to Carl Spicer, who now serves as the company president following Andre's retirement in 2018.
