Since 1979

La Mine d'Or began in 1979 with founder Paul Cormier selling jewellery and gold from his suitcase. Known for his larger-than-life personality, Paul was cherished by the community, his family, and his employees.

In 1981, Paul opened the first La Mine d'Or store, establishing a legacy of community focus and exceptional service that continues today.

After Paul’s passing, his brother André Cormier took over, eventually passing the business to Carl Spicer, who has served as president since André’s retirement in 2018.
